Our vision is to be a cornerstone of support and enrichment for the Chelmsford community, offering a diverse range of activities, resources, and opportunities that cater to the needs and interests of every individual.

Bubu’s Community Hub is more than just a place, it’s a vibrant community centre dedicated to nurturing the diverse fabric of Chelmsford. We provide a variety of engaging and educational activities designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and personal growth. From arts and crafts workshops to technology and science programmes, our offerings are tailored to suit all ages and interests.

Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. We collaborate with various local organisations, including religious groups, disability support networks, CVS, Culture Chelmsford and the Chelmsford Police, to ensure that our hub is a safe and welcoming space for everyone. By working together with these partners, we aim to reflect the rich diversity of our community and make sure that everyone feels valued and included.

Recent events have included our highly successful International Women’s Day and World Storytelling Day events. Plus our series of Bhangra, Healthy Eating and Exercise, and Create and Connect art sessions held earlier in the year.

Our vision extends beyond just providing services; we aspire to create a space where people can form meaningful connections, support one another, and build a stronger, more unified community. At Bubu’s Community Hub, everyone is welcome, and everyone is valued. Together, we’re building a brighter future for Chelmsford — one where diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect are celebrated every day.

Bubu’s Community Hub is home to our popular Let’s Talk events, offering local residents an open forum for discussion on a wide range of topical subjects.

Ladies Knitting and Social Club meet every second and fourth Monday of the month. From 10am to 12 noon. Beginners welcome.

Baby Club takes place on Tuesdays between 10am and 12 noon. Breakfast is supplied for parents and children, and we offer a safe play area and toys available for the children.

Create and Connect offers lively art sessions that explore themes of culture, community and identity. Sessions are tailored to groups based on age or those with social or learning differences.

Bubu’s Café! (formerly Caffe Marconi) has grown over the years, we’ve grown together and created so many memories with you all, and along the way, “Bubu’s” became the name that felt like home to many of you. So, we’ve embraced it and made it official!
